Irish indie pop artist Bri has released her new single ‘In My Head’. Taken from her highly anticipated upcoming album, Hide, which is set for release on October 22nd.
In My Head was produced by Asta Kalapa studios, whilst the music video was filmed and directed by Gerard Walsh filmmaker and set once again at the beautiful Charleville Castle in Brí’s hometown of Tullamore, starring Lisa Hogan and Barry Dunne. The sixth single finds Brí digging into the internal battle of learning what comes with head vs. heart, power over weakness and feeling vs. thoughts.
In My Head is a tender piece of R&B pop that overflows with Brí’s signature ethereal vocals and infectious beats. Brooding verses run with icy synths and a gliding bass refrain before the song erupts into a catchy chorus filled with layers of silky harmonies and sticky R & B beats. Like her previous releases, Brí’s powerful vocals take centre stage. Tender overlapping vocal tones mirror the frustration that drips through the lyrics, with the intensity of emotion bubbling up into a melodious cacophony. The simplistic arrangement and ingenious production of this song leaves much to be admired, it’s a fantastic new single from an artist who is continuously elevating her compelling song writing skills.
