Dead Dirty Dinosaurs are Brisbane icons in the making. Following a long tradition of powerful music coming out of Southeast QLD, these cantankerous troubadours have been pouring blood, sweat and tears into their music and the result will leave you smiling. Tackling today’s endless stream of daily calamities and staying positive through it all the DDD’s songs of love, life, deadly careers and a sly look at our wild surroundings all throb with the “night out” energy that we’re all craving right now.
The group has meshed together their love of 90s alt rock, punk, post punk and post rock with a need to make a mark on a new era in their lives setting themselves on a path with one goal, to snag the support slot for the Pixies in Brisbane. The pandemic has put that dream off for the moment, but signing to Golden Robot and Riot Records has started on an alternative path with the group releasing their latest EP Too Many Questions: The Abbey Road Masters (Remastered) back in March.
Now, Brisbane’s own rock icons are back and armed with some new raw material and an unbridled swagger to match. The group has just released their new single Delirious, a superb, stripped back mess of coarse guitars, uncouth vocals and pummelling drums. Telling a story of undying love and the joys that come along with keeping those flames burning bright, this is a spritely, catchy track with a chorus that’s impossible to shake!
