Tipperary singer/songwriter Micah released her latest single Take Me Away on August 6th, 2021. An upbeat Summer pop song about falling in love.
Following the success of her Spring release Invisible Fire, which amassed over 30K streams and achieved airplay on national radio stations, and her follow up single Hello (Remix) which spawned a nationwide TikTok dance. Micah has just released Take Me Away, single, about falling in love and diving right in, despite it being the wrong time, place or situation.
Trained at BIMM Dublin, Micah is an accomplished singer/songwriter and an experienced recording and performing artist. Hailing from Holycross, Co. Tipperary, she grew up in a musical family and took an interest in music from a young age, landing the role of Gretl in the town’s production of The Sound of Music. Over the years, she has been a member of several bands with some success. She performed at the Rose of Tralee in 2017 and 2019 and she has been a sought-after session singer.
Drawing inspiration from Halsey and The 1975, among others, Take Me Away opens with a soothing melody, whilst the lyrics set the scene. The tempo builds throughout the verse before the powerful chorus erupts with life, transforming the single into a Summer anthem. After the second verse and chorus, the tempo slows again, making way for a beautiful example of Micah’s talented vocals before the final chorus plays out full energy.
