Built around the song writing talents of lead singer Craig Walker indie group Power Of Dreams released their debut album Immigrants, Emigrants & Me in 1990. With a buzz quickly forming around the Dublin band, they went on to sign with Polydor Records, leading them to become one of Ireland’s most iconic band’s.
Their new single Do It is another hook-laden dreamy indie gem to add to the band’s renowned discography. Packed with layers of infectious shimmering guitar tones, a punchy drum progression and an unrelenting chorus this single has all the elements of 90s indie pop. That ethereal indie sound that Power Of Dreams have become known for contrasts perfectly with edgy lyrics that pay homage to 90s London. Described by the band as a time of “black cabs, endless parties, being young, possibilities.” Power Of Dreams capture the hazy overindulgence of the pre Brit-pop era.
A band that perfectly encapsulate what indie pop is about, Do It is a deliriously catchy single that leaves you craving more.
Power of Dreams make their live comeback in March 2022 with shows in Whelan’s, Dublin on March 15th and The 100 Club on March 17th, 2022. Ticket info, album pre-order and streaming links from powerofdreams.i.e
